💜 October ends. The abuse doesn't.

Domestic violence doesn't end when the awareness month is over. For many survivors, the journey toward healing, safety, and rebuilding their lives continues long after October comes to a close.

Let's make sure our support doesn't disappear when the calendar changes.

Keep listening. Keep believing survivors. Keep speaking up. Keep showing up.

Remember, awareness shouldn't be seasonal, and neither should compassion. Every survivor deserves to feel safe, supported, heard, and valued — every single day of the year.

💜 Don't let the conversation end on October 31st.

It takes incredible courage for a survivor of domestic violence to speak out.

For many, telling their story is one of the hardest steps they will ever take. By listening with empathy, believing their experience, and offering support, we help survivors feel less alone and more empowered to move forward.

Together, we can create communities where survivors are met with understanding, dignity, and hope.

❤️ Believe them. 🤝 Support them. 🕊️ Stand with them.

Today, on First Responders Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to the law enforcement officers, dispatchers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and crisis responders who answer the call when survivors of domestic violence need help most.

Your courage, compassion, and commitment provide safety, hope, and a pathway forward for individuals and families experiencing abuse. Every response, every intervention, and every act of support can make a life-changing difference.

Thank you for your partnership in protecting survivors, holding offenders accountable, and helping build safer communities. We appreciate your dedication and the invaluable work you do every day.

The Impact Booth at Costumes for a Cause was filled with powerful reminders of hope, strength, courage, and resilience. From heartfelt messages for survivors to words of appreciation for our staff, every note shared carried a message that matters.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to contribute your inspirational words. Your encouragement, kindness, and support will continue to make an impact long after the event has ended. We are proud to display these messages as a reminder that no one is alone and that every person deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and supported.

As Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to remind survivors, advocates, and community members alike: You matter. Not just this month, but every day of the year.

Together, we can continue to uplift, empower, and inspire hope. 💜

When local businesses invest in local lives, amazing things happen. 💜

We are deeply grateful to Country for raising $1,400 during their annual giving campaign in memory of Judi. Their generosity will directly support survivors of domestic violence in our community through critical services, advocacy, and support.

Thank you to Donut Country and every customer who purchased a donut and helped make this contribution possible. Your kindness reminds survivors that they are not alone.

Thank you for honoring Judi's legacy by helping others find safety, healing, and hope.

We are grateful to Scott Walker and WGNS Radio for creating space to have honest conversations about domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and the journey of recovery. In our recent discussion, we highlighted the realities of coercive control, gaslighting, and the trauma bonds that can make leaving an abusive relationship incredibly difficult. Survivors deserve understanding, not judgment.

At the Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center, we remain committed to empowering survivors through advocacy, counseling, safe shelter, orders of protection, forensic services, and compassionate support when they are ready to take the next step.

Thank you, WGNS Radio, for helping amplify this important message: no one has to face abuse alone, and help is available. Together, we can break the cycle of violence and build a community where every survivor feels safe, supported, and empowered. 💜
