It's the season of... ✨Winterizing. ✨.
As we continue to trend into lower temperatures, be sure to get out and winterize outdoor irrigation lines. Not to mention the amount of water that Murray has been recieving, no need to use the additional water. 💧 .
This system maintenance is key to ensuring properly working irrigation systems, as well as a good opportunity to check for leaks, broken sprinkler heads and issues before next season. 💡

The First Friday of the month is approaching, which means it's time to Love Your Watershed! We encourage you to take just a few minutes today or sometime this October to step outside and clean up the gutters, parking areas and storm drains around your home or business. Pick up litter, pet waste, leaves, grass clippings, debris and dispose of it properly before it can be carried into our stormwater system and local waterways.

These pollutants can harm water quality, wildlife and aquatic habitats, contributing to issues like bacterial contamination, harmful algal blooms and low oxygen levels. Keeping pollutants off streets and out of storm drains is a simple way we can all help protect our waterways.

We also encourage you to share the action! Tell your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers what you did and inspire them to join you! Small actions, repeated each month, can make a big difference for our watershed.

Be sure to check out the Murray City Website for more guidelines and information.☔️
