๐ Little hands. Real skills. Big moments of โI did it!โ
Pouring, preparing snacks, washing, sorting, and foldingโthese everyday activities are exciting opportunities for young children to grow! At The Little Red Barn, our Montessori Life Skills classes give children meaningful work that helps them feel capable, confident, and proud. โค๏ธ
Developed by Brandee, our certified Montessori early childhood teacher, and taught by our trained staff, each class brings purpose to hands-on learning.
๐ฑ Independence & confidence: Practicing real tasks gives children opportunities to do things for themselves and experience success.
๐คฒ Fine motor skills & coordination: Pouring, scooping, and using utensils help children practice controlled movements theyโll use for dressing, drawing, and writing.
๐ง Concentration & sequencing: Following steps and working through an activity gives children practice focusing, remembering what comes next, and completing a task.
๐ Responsibility & belonging: Caring for materials and shared spaces helps children discover that their contributions matter.
Through Little Chefs and Little Helpers, everyday tasks become opportunities to build skills children can carry homeโand keep building as they grow.
โจ Come watch your little one discover just how much they can do!
