This morning, crews were dispatched to the intersection of Route 380 and Route 780 for a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision with reported entrapment.

Emergency personnel worked to provide patient care and safely remove those involved from the vehicles. Multiple patients were transported to a local trauma center for further evaluation and treatment.

We thank all responding fire, EMS, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel for their teamwork and coordinated response.

Please use caution when traveling through emergency scenes and always give first responders room to work safely.

Today, our crews had the privilege of spending the afternoon with the members of Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Washington Township Police Department, and Westmoreland SWAT at Kiski Area Upper Elementary School

The students had the opportunity to learn about each agency’s role in our community, explore equipment, and gain a better understanding of the capabilities and responsibilities of the professionals who respond when help is needed.

Events like this are a great opportunity to connect with our community, educate students about public safety, and help build positive relationships between our emergency responders and the people we serve.

A special thank-you to the staff and students of Kiski Area Upper Elementary School for welcoming us, and to our partner agencies for taking the time to share their knowledge and expertise. Working together, we’re helping build a safer and stronger community.
