🌳 Growing Muscatine’s Urban Forest, One Tree at a Time 🌳

More than two dozen volunteers from HNI Corporation joined the City of Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department on October 2 to help strengthen our community’s urban canopy by planting four varieties of trees across parks, recreation facilities, and public spaces throughout the city.

This effort was made possible through a $42,000 Iowa DNR Urban Forestry Grant, which will bring 197 new trees to Muscatine’s green spaces. These trees will provide shade, help manage stormwater, reduce summer temperatures, and enhance the beauty of our neighborhoods for generations to come.

A big thank you to HNI Corporation and its dedicated employees for their commitment to environmental stewardship and community service! 🌱

🌲 BIG THANKS to our amazing neighbors at HNI Corporation! 🌲

On Friday, October 2, over two dozen fantastic HNI volunteers teamed up with our Parks and Recreation crew to plant four brand-new varieties of trees across Muscatine! 🙌 Digging in at various locations throughout Muscatine, these volunteers are helping grow our local canopy.

These trees were purchased through the city's recently awarded $42,000 Urban Forestry Grant, which is bringing 197 new trees to our community. This incredible teamwork keeps Muscatine beautiful and honors our 34-year legacy as a proud Tree City USA community! 🌳✨

Thank you, HNI team, for your outstanding corporate stewardship and hard work!
