Our little learners have been busy learning all about pumpkins! 🧡 From exploring their colors, shapes, and textures to discovering what makes pumpkins special, our kiddos are enjoying hands-on learning and fall fun!

Activities like these encourage curiosity, observation, language development, and learning through exploration. We love seeing our children discover something new while having fun together!

🎃🎨 Shawnee Rooms 3 & 4 – Pumpkin Painting with Families! 🎨🎃

Our friends had a wonderful time inviting their parents to join them for a special pumpkin painting activity!

The children and their families enjoyed getting creative together, adding their own colorful touches to their pumpkins, and making sweet memories along the way.

Family involvement is such an important part of Head Start! We love creating opportunities for parents and children to learn, play, and grow together.

💙🌟 Parent Voices Matter! Meet Samantha Frye! 🌟💙

We’re proud to see Samantha Fry, one of our wonderful Head Start parents, representing families at the Region VI Head Start Conference and connecting with other parents through Parents Unite! 👏

Parents Unite provides opportunities for parents to connect, share their experiences, build leadership skills, and advocate for Head Start children and families. When parents come together, their voices can make a difference!

We love seeing our families get involved, grow as leaders, and help strengthen the Head Start community. Thank you, Samantha, for being a voice for families and helping us Be the Light!

Behind every successful Head Start program is a team of dedicated people who care deeply about children and families. From our teachers and teacher assistants to family advocates, home-based staff, bus drivers, cooks, health and disabilities staff, office staff, maintenance, and every role in between—each person makes a difference! Every position may look a little different, but we all share the same goal: supporting children, strengthening families, and helping our little ones build a strong foundation for their future.

This Head Start Awareness Month, we are proud to celebrate ALL of our amazing staff! Thank you for the patience, compassion, hard work, and heart you bring to Head Start every day.

Head Start is about so much more than preparing children for school. It’s about building strong foundations, supporting families, encouraging healthy development, and helping every child feel ready to learn and grow.
