10/2/26

Shortly after 3pm Rescue 31 was dispatched to assist Berks Station 52 with a MVA W/ Entrapment at 422 and Stouchsburg Rd.

Station 52 arrived and found a 2 car accident with multiple injuries and one passenger not able to be removed from the vehicle.

🔥 Working Fire 🔥

10/1/26

At 2:30pm Station 31 along with our Automatic Aid partners were dispatched to Dogwood Circle in the township for a report of a Structure Fire.

Chief 31 arrived and confirmed fire in the garage wall and spreading vertically. E31 arrived and layed supply line from a hydrant into the address, stretched a line, quickly opened up the wall and extinguished the fire. E32 took the hydrant while TW31 positioned in front. SO33,E32 and E52 sent manpower forward, crews investigated the attic to check for extension and found none. Mutual aid units were released once control was marked and the attic was ventilated.

September was a busy month for our members!

🚨 We received 38 calls for service:
• 26 in Jackson Township
• 8 in Myerstown Borough
• 4 mutual aid calls

Those calls resulted in 479 personnel responses and 284 hours and 45 minutes of volunteer service.

But responding to emergencies is only part of what our members do. During September, members also logged:

🚒 128 hours of training
👨‍🚒 405 hours at public events

Altogether, our members logged 817 hours and 45 minutes of volunteer service during September!

And the work continues into October — October is Fire Prevention Month! 🔥🚒

Keep an eye on our page throughout the month for fire prevention information and a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep your volunteer fire company ready to serve the community.
