The NASW Delegate Assembly is the national decision-making body of NASW, and Texas representatives help bring the perspectives and priorities of Texas social workers to the table. The Delegate Assembly meets in November, and we want to fill these positions before the meeting so Texas has full representation. Active NASW membership is required. We hope you will join us next month for the NASW Texas Conference in Galveston, TX as we celebrate one of our branch's awardees -- Dr. Evelyn Sauceda for the Media Award!

It is a big deal to receive this statewide recognition, and it's an especially big deal this year, because Dr. Sauceda's inclusion for this award breaks the mold. While Dr. Sauceda does not represent a traditional media outlet, she uses her platform with a Spanish-language page for Nacogdoches ISD as well as her monthly Conexion Hispana meetings to keep the Spanish-speaking community connected, informed, and empowered!

We hope you will join us in Galveston as we give Dr. Sauceda a big, Texas-sized round of applause!!!!
