We will be having an all Treasure Valley Relay
June 27 2025 Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.

Our 4th and final judge is Nampa Police Departments Community Engagement Coordinator Carmen Boeger. Carmen started her career in Law Enforcement as a 911 Dispatcher for the Gem County Sheriff’s Office in Emmett waaaaay back in 1987. She moved to the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch in 1989. In 1992 she was hired by the Nampa Police Department as a dispatcher and was promoted to Dispatch Manager in 1999. In 2011 Nampa PD launched Facebook and Carmen was asked (told) to be part of the social media team. Since she did not even have a personal Facebook account, there was lots of learning to do, mostly by trial and error, but we are still learning along the way today.
After 34 years attached to 911 Dispatching, Carmen left dispatch and took at new NPD position as the Community Engagement Coordinator in 2021. She still does Nampa PD’s social media (now on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter), and also works with the recruiting team, our community for any station tours, community talks or events. She also works with our local media doing Namap PD’s press releases and the coordination of any media related needs or interviews.
Carmen is proud of her service with the Nampa Police Department and she always hope that shows in our effort to connect with our community.
