Dear Men of Southern Idaho,

There is something God has placed inside every man, a strength that may be dormant, a calling that may have been buried under responsibility, disappointment, or exhaustion, but it is still there. It has not died. It has not been lost. It is waiting to be awakened.

I want to personally invite you to the Southern Idaho Men’s Summit 2026, taking place March 20–22, 2026. This gathering is not just another event on the calendar, it is a call to rise, a summons for men to stand again in courage, strength, and spiritual authority.

The theme of this year’s summit is “Wake Up the Mighty Men.”
We believe God is awakening men in this hour, men who will lead their homes, stand firm in their faith, serve their churches, and endure with godly strength in a challenging world. Just as warriors once stood shoulder to shoulder, shield to shield, we are calling men to stand together again, grounded in Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Over these three days, you can expect:

Powerful, Christ-centered preaching that calls men higher.

Times of worship that stir the spirit and renew the soul.

Teaching that strengthens your walk with God and sharpens your purpose

Brotherhood—real men, real conversations, real encouragement

Whether you feel strong or worn down, whether you feel confident or uncertain, this summit is for you. You don’t need to have it all together, you just need to show up willing. God does the awakening.

My prayer is that every man who attends leaves changed, more alive spiritually, more grounded in truth, and more confident in who God has called him to be. The Man of God inside you is needed now more than ever.

Make plans to join us. Bring a friend. Bring your son. Bring another man who needs to be reminded that God is not finished with him.

Let’s rise together.

With faith and expectation,

Pastor Jonathan J. Baker
Southern Idaho Men’s Ministry Director

Daily Devotional for May 10

Scripture:
Colossians 4:5 “Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.” (ESV)

Observation:
I had to wait while he went back to the truck. I asked the young apprentice to get me a hammer. When he returned, he brought the wrong one. Some people don't know that there are different hammers for different jobs. When you need a sledgehammer, but you only have a framing hammer, you have a problem. Today's verse speaks about our time and making the best use of it. Using the right tools can make the difference, but have we ever thought that our time is a tool as well? How we use our time can make the difference when it comes to things. I should have been more specific to the young man in asking for what tool to grab rather than wasting time waiting. I wonder if God has been asking us to use a certain tool, like our time, better than we have been. Maybe we need to stop running around and take the time to walk in wisdom. Using the right tool at the right time is a God honoring thing.

Application:

• Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.

• Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes. Pray for them.

Daily Devotional for May 9

Scripture:
Galatians 6:3 “For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.” (NASB)

Observation:
Recently, Carolyn, my wife, and I were on our way to Sunday service when we had a situation. It caused me to have a reality check and live my faith at full throttle. You see, there is a man who rides his bike to our church; he is one of the men who directs traffic in the parking lot. It was a cold and wintry morning as we approached him riding down the busy street. I had a choice. I could drive by and “pretend” I didn’t see him, or I could stop and offer him a ride. Offering him a ride meant putting his bike, which was covered in road slush in the back of my new SUV, and then having him sit in the seat all covered with the slop that ran up his back. I know what you’re thinking, “How incredibly selfish.” That’s what I thought too as I pulled over and said, “Hey Jim, can we give you a lift?” Living our faith at full throttle means living for others and not ourselves. I mean really what did it cost me - a few towels to clean up the car later on - to give a ride to a brother? Almost seems like a no brainer. If we know Jesus, then we know that this is what He would have done. Do we think too highly of ourselves and our stuff?

Application:
• Personal Application: Continue spending time with the Lord daily. Sow righteousness and reap the fruit of God's unfailing love.
• Family Devotional: Read this chapter to your family. Ask them if anything spoke to them as you read. Talk about their answers and show them that one important aspect of this chapter is that we must continue to spend time with the Lord and keep our hearts focused on His plans and purposes.
