Missed the 4th annual Nantucket Climate Change Summit, or want to revisit the conversation?
Titled “Place-based Coastal Resilience: Integrating Scientific Data with Local Knowledge,” the 2026 Summit is now available at the link in our bio.
Climate change affects every aspect of life on Nantucket, making it essential to understand the challenges our island faces and how we can prepare for the future.
Presented by the Linda Loring Nature Foundation and Nantucket Conservation Foundation, the Summit brings our community together to explore these changes and the role of science and local knowledge in shaping coastal resilience.
This year’s programme features Dr. Hannah Baranes, Gayle Bowness and Steph Sun of the Gulf of Maine Research Institute GMRI, who share their expertise as scientists and members of the community’s climate action team.
