Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, the members of the Nanuet Fire Department pause to remember and honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the courageous first respondersl who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the countless heroes who answered the call in our nation's darkest hour.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to carry the lessons of that day: service before self, unwavering courage, and the strength of community. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and civilians whose bravery and resilience inspired a nation and continue to guide our mission today.

As we reflect on this solemn anniversary, we ask our community to join us in honoring those we lost and supporting the families, survivors, and responders forever impacted by that tragic day.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Their legacy will live on in every act of service, every answered alarm, and every commitment to protecting our neighbors.

We Will Never Forget 🙏🏻🧑🏻‍🚒🚒
