What are some signs of mental distress? According to the US Surgeon General, youth show mental distress usually with changes in their attitudes, thoughts, appearance, usually becoming irritable or angry and have changes in appetite and sleep. As a parent or guardian the best thing you can do is check in regularly and offer support however they may need it.

According to the CDC, “Potassium helps the kidneys, heart, muscles and, nerves function properly. Not getting enough potassium can increase blood pressure, deplete calcium in bones, and increase the risk of kidney stones. People with chronic kidney disease and people taking certain medications may have too much potassium in their blood. But most people in the United States need more potassium in their eating patterns.
