SIR Branch 149

Some great photos from our last meeting by Ruben Madrid.

Three new members were brought in to serve 149 yesterday. Chris Hartley with the black mustache ; Mitch Frasier with a white mustache and Richard Ztiter partially ba@ld. Our guesst speakers were our Big Sir,  Dan Harder, landscape contractor and Jon Huttinger, a master gardener and also a landscape artist. They both answered many questions about landscaping, gardening, and challenges with plants. we also had a fascinating inside look of our Little SIR, Craig Ruess.

Bill shields sent these great pictures of the bike Group going up Valley.

Bob Weeks has shared photos from the last Wine Tipplers of Napa Valley. A great SIR activity:

At the April luncheon, we had chicken Alfredo. Our guest speaker was Kevin Miller from the city of Napa waste management system. This man had to be an engineer, a businessman and environmental scientist to do what he did and is doing. We introduced a new member, whose picture is also below his name is Alan Johnson. The new activity of Coed bocce ball was announced. I believe it’s the second and fourth Thursday at the senior center at 1:30. .

The trip to the UC DAVIS Marine Biology Lad was spectacular. Instead of a docent we got the head person to give us a tour with fascinating stories of his life in Marine Biology and of the history of the Lab. Photos by Adrian and McCabe

At the last meeting, our guests were Carl Moyar and Brion beetz sharing about the incredible fishing committee they run for SIR. A past member rejoined and that Joe Nelson DDS.  Mary Laros, our guest speaker,  spent some time sharing about the importance of having a trusts and answered a lot of questions the audience had.
