Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈✨ This week, NCOE hosted our annual Pride flag-raising and celebration. We also brought staff together for a fabulous "CarnivALL" event including a talent show (check out our Superintendent Josh on the guitar), a highly competitive and delicious dessert contest, and great food from local LGBTQIA+ owned The Dutch Door Napa.

Beyond the fun and games, we stand proud to honor, support, and celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community this month and every day.

May was Mental Health Awareness Month, and at the Napa County Office of Education we make prioritizing our well-being a top priority. It was a month filled with connection, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

The Napa County Board of Education, in partnership with Napa County Health and Human Services, kicked off our activities with a Proclamation in Recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. Relaxing chair massages by Wine Country Mobile Massage, puppy snuggles with Paws for Healing, and refreshing sips from Freshnapa Juices- it was all about reducing stress and staying calm. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month.

Our Expanded Learning Programs here in Napa at Vichy Cool School are honoring and celebrating Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

Creating meaningful cultural engagement opportunities for students is a core focus of our programs. One of our staff members led an interactive lesson exploring the many languages represented across the Asian Pacific region, giving students the opportunity to learn and practice greeting one another in different languages.
