During today’s Knoxville OHV Patrol, our OHV Team came across a young family that had gotten their vehicle stuck deep in the mud. With no cell service and no assistance on the way, we were able to pull the vehicle out in no time and get the family back on their way. Know your vehicle’s capabilities and please remember to drive safe!

Each year, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office proudly joins law enforcement agencies across California in participating in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics.

Today’s final leg of the run, in Napa County, was a 4.4-mile journey from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office to the American Canyon Police Department. And when you consider why we run, 4.4 miles is actually a short distance.

We run to support athletes who overcome challenges every single day with determination, courage, and heart. We run to help raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics, an organization that changes lives and creates opportunities for so many incredible individuals in our community.

It’s an honor to stand alongside our fellow law enforcement partners in support of such an important cause. Events like this remind us that serving our community goes beyond the badge — it’s about showing up, giving back, and helping make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who supported and cheered us on today. Together, we continue to carry the flame of hope and inclusion for Special Olympics athletes everywhere. 💙🏃‍♂️🔥

The volunteer members of the Napa County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse had a wonderful time mingling with the cheerful BottleRock campers at Skyline Park.
We also met many new people who traveled quite a distance, and it was great to see familiar faces from past years.
