Cadet Captain Jacob Bustos officially ages out of our program this week. Jacob has been with us for 5 years and we are sad to see him go. Jacob’s work ethic is unmatched and he is wise beyond his years. We wish him well on all future endeavors.

The Naperville Cadet program isn’t just a career development program. We also teach life skills. One of our cadets has never shaved and didn’t know how. Advisor Greene took the time to teach him.

This weekend our cadets attended the Cadet/Explorer Training Retreat at the Frankfort Fire Department. What an amazing training weekend. A HUGE Thank You to Lt Brian Adcock and Chief Paul Kinsella for making this possible. This investment in the future of the fire service is invaluable.

Today's presenters at the second annual Naperville Fire Cadet Leadership Conference were outstanding. A sincere thank you to Lt. Kyle Matousek of the HC Leadership Podcast and Oak Brook Fire Department, Deputy Chief Chad Bissenger of the Naperville Police Department, and Chief Rick Kolomay of the Carol Stream Fire Department. Your willingness to share your time, experience, and hard earned wisdom means more than words can fully express. You didn't just present, you invested in the next generation of leaders. That kind of commitment leaves a lasting mark, and we are deeply grateful. Thank you.
