Greater Naples Fire Rescue District

10/14/2026

🚒 Did you know? Greater Naples Fire Rescue District began providing emergency response services from Station 74 in Golden Gate Estates on July 20, 2026 — and that could help some property owners save on homeowners insurance!

Station 74 is located at 99 DeSoto Blvd. S., Naples, FL 34117, expanding GNFR’s emergency response presence in the community.

Here’s why that matters: Fire department ratings, including Insurance Services Office (ISO) ratings, may affect your property insurance premiums. Depending on your insurance company and policy, you may qualify for a discount.

What should you do?
Contact your insurance agent or company and ask whether GNFR’s Station 74 service and applicable fire protection rating affect your property’s insurance rate.

Ask whether any updated documentation is needed. Some insurance companies already use national databases with current fire protection ratings, so a letter may not be necessary.

Check whether your policy qualifies for a potential discount.

Every insurance company is different, and savings are not guaranteed. But it’s worth asking!

Please share this post with friends and neighbors in Golden Gate Estates who may not know about this update.

🔥 Fire Prevention Day at Coastland Center Mall! 🔥

We had a great time this past Saturday celebrating Fire Prevention Day at Coastland Center Mall! It was wonderful meeting members of our community, answering questions, and sharing important tips to help keep everyone safe. 🚒❤️

We were proud to work alongside our friends at Naples Fire-Rescue, Marco Island Fire Rescue, and North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District to help spread the word about fire prevention and safety.

A big thank-you to the Collier County Fire Marshals for sponsoring this event and bringing our local fire departments together for such an important cause!
Fire safety starts with all of us, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to connect with our community and help keep our neighbors safe. ❤️

❤️🚒 A little kindness goes a long way!

The 5th graders at Lake Park Elementary took the time to color and create thank-you cards for our firefighters, and we are so grateful for their thoughtful gesture! 🎨❤️

Building strong relationships with our local schools is such an important part of being connected to the community we serve. Whether we're teaching fire safety, visiting classrooms, or receiving special surprises like these, we love connecting with the next generation.

Thank you, Lake Park Elementary 5th graders, for thinking of our firefighters and brightening their day! You reminded us that kindness comes in all colors. 🖍️❤️

🚒❤️ Fire safety, friendly faces, and a birthday surprise! 🎂

Our crew recently visited Temple Shalom Preschool to teach the children important fire safety tips. The kids met our firefighters and watched one of our crew members put on his full protective gear, helping them understand that firefighters are there to help and not to be afraid during an emergency!

The children also made us BIG thank-you cards, which was such a thoughtful surprise! 🥰 And to make the visit even more special, it happened to be Lt. Z’s birthday, so the kids sang “Happy Birthday” to him! 🎉

We love visiting schools throughout our community and helping little ones learn how to stay safe. Thank you, Temple Shalom, for making our visit so special! ❤️

🚒❤️ A special thank-you from SWFL Homeschool Adventures!

We loved welcoming SWFL Homeschool Adventures to Station 73 for a station tour! The children got to explore the apparatus housed in our bay, learn about the tools our firefighters use, and hear important fire safety tips.

As a thank-you, they gifted our crew this beautiful photo, and it’s now proudly hanging in the station! 🖼️

Thoughtful gestures like this mean so much to our firefighters. Thank you for visiting and for making our day a little brighter! ❤️

When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray
table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never
charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails,
it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly. For more

Battalion Chief Nixon also joined in on the fun, helping his granddaughter, Paisley, spray water from the hose! ❤️ What a special memory!

Thank you, Creative World, for having us.

Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools
outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These
batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they
fail. For more info: fpw.org.
