BARRON COLLIER HIGH SCHOOL
THE PROVEN CHOICE FOR EXCELLENCE

BC Nation is more than a school community, it is a place where every student is welcomed, supported, and
inspired to succeed. At Barron Collier High School, we take pride in our diversity, with more than 40 languages represented, creating an environment where students learn from one another and grow together. Principal Dr. Sean Kinsley is committed to ensuring students are challenged academically while discovering their strengths and reaching their full potential. With a strong sense of connection and a focus on achievement, our students graduate prepared for what comes next. We look forward to welcoming you personally to experience BC Nation.

BCNation:

As we get into the full swing of Quarter 2, we have a few reminders from Student Services. Please remind your students we will be Rewarding What We Value throughout this quarter for students exhibiting the BCHS expectations - Be Responsible, Come Prepared, Have Self-Control and Show Respect and Kindness. Our goal is to see a decrease in Office Referrals for cell phone use, students out of area and detentions for being tardy.

Our Quarter 1 average daily attendance was 95.47% - just shy of Aubrey Rogers at 95.87%. We would like to keep that attendance trophy at Barron Collier High School!! Help us encourage your student to be in class on time, all day, every day.

Thank you for your support!!

Junior Khloe Wilder continues to raise the bar on our girls cross-country team. The talented distance runner recently broke the 20-minute mark in the 5K, posting a personal-best time of 19:58.96 at the North Port Invitational. Coaches praise Khloe's confidence, work ethic, and outstanding sportsmanship, qualities that fuel her success on the course. She also excels in the classroom, maintaining an impressive 3.71 unweighted GPA and 4.37 weighted GPA.

Good afternoon!

As we begin 2nd quarter, please remind your students that Florida law requires students to have cell phones and headphones off and away during instructional time. This includes any time a student leaves the classroom at any time during the class period. Teachers may also give students permission to use their cell phone for academic tasks, as needed. This is usually a rare occasion as students should have their laptops to complete any academic tasks.

Students ARE permitted to use their cell phones/headphones before and after school, during passing time, and lunch.

BCHS will continue to follow the Cellphone/Electronic Progression of Discipline if a student is using their phone without permission during instructional time.
