Last weekend we had the joy of welcoming International Network of Creatives at NAMI Collier, who provided autumn-inspired art and music activities for participants in our HUGS Children's Mental Health Program! Everyone (staff included) had so much fun making paper pumpkins, singing songs, and getting faces painted. 🍂

Bill - we are so grateful for you and the work you do in our community, and we can't wait to have you back soon! This is such a beautiful opportunity for kiddos and their families to flex their creative muscles and build stronger relationships.

Trunk or Treat at Tamiami Ford Naples today was a 🏈 touchdown! 🏈

We loved seeing everyone's smiling faces and helping raise mental health awareness (with more than a few sweet treats thrown in there 🍬) We're so thankful for Rev Sheila Zellers, Motivated by Love Ministries Naples, FL and the rest of the Zellers family for another year of fun and service to the community. The impact you make is so meaningful.

And an extra special thank you to the team from our HUGS Children's Mental Health Program for joining in the fun on a Saturday! We couldn't do this without you.

We were joined by an amazing group of parents at Sabal Palm Elementary this morning to learn about how to maintain a positive balance with technology and instill healthy screen-time habits in their children. Thank you so much to Ms. Mariam for inviting us and for the amazing work you're doing in the community.

Some practical strategies to limit screen time include:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Schedule screen-free meals and family time
💬 Set clear, consistent limits and have open conversations about why those rules matter
📖 Encourage alternatives like reading or outdoor play

We encourage all of our HUGS families to consider attending Family Initiative, Inc.'s autism screenings and playgroup this Saturday! We love hosting them one Saturday a month and offering more opportunities for children with autism in Collier County 🧩💚

This World Mental Health Day, we're thankful for the seniors, families, and adults who put their trust in us every day. From life skills training at the center and no-cost care coordination for families to outreach to senior women at risk of homelessness, NAMI Collier makes an impact on thousands of lives each year.

NAMI Collier's Adult Program proudly celebrated World Mental Health Day with a day full of connection, laughter, and friendship! 💚

Our participants planned the entire event from start to finish, truly embodying the spirit of resilience, empowerment, and community. Staff and participants enjoyed a fun-filled day together while also celebrating Nicholas's birthday. 🎉

For Nicholas, it was especially meaningful to celebrate with his new program and the friends he has made along the way. Moments like these remind us that recovery, support, and belonging make all the difference. 💚
