Sometimes the simplest outings are the most memorable! Recently, some of the children in our care visited Baker Park, where they enjoyed watching airplanes take off and land at Naples Airport.

It's outings like these that give our kids a chance to explore our community, discover new interests, and simply enjoy being kids!

We are excited to welcome Erin Gruwell as the keynote speaker for Youth Haven’s Healing Youth Luncheon on January 12, 2027, at Sea Salt!

Erin is an educator, author, and activist best known for her work with the Freedom Writers, 150 students facing significant challenges, including poverty, violence, and the risk of dropping out. With Erin’s support and encouragement, all 150 students graduated from high school and pursued higher education. Their remarkable story became the #1 New York Times bestseller The Freedom Writers Diary and inspired the major motion picture Freedom Writers, starring Hilary Swank.

Today, Erin continues to inspire audiences with a powerful message of hope and possibility and the importance of standing up, speaking up, and speaking out.

Healing Youth is graciously hosted by Ingrid and Fabrizio Aielli. The luncheon raises awareness and support for Youth Haven’s mission of providing Home, Hope, and Healing to abused and neglected children and teens in Southwest Florida.

We’re still looking for volunteers to help make Youth Haven’s Annual Cherish the Children Luncheon a success!

Join us on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples (Beach). Volunteers will assist with registration, silent auction sales, live auction recording, and event cleanup. Assignments will be determined closer to the event.

If you’re comfortable using technology, have great customer service skills, or have strong attention to detail, we’d love to have you join us!

Today is World Mental Health Day 💚

At Youth Haven, mental health and emotional well-being are at the heart of everything we do. As a trauma-informed care shelter, we understand the importance of providing a safe, nurturing environment where children and teens can heal, grow, and thrive.

Our holistic approach goes beyond providing shelter. Through therapeutic support, nutritious meals, educational assistance, life-skills development, and enrichment activities, we help the children and teens in our care build resilience, develop confidence, and work toward brighter futures.

Every child deserves the opportunity to heal and experience hope for tomorrow.

Reaching new heights!

Some of our teens from Rob’s Cottage recently enjoyed a fun rock-climbing outing! It was a great opportunity to try something new, challenge themselves, and build confidence while learning the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and encouraging one another.

Experiences like these help our teens develop valuable life skills while having fun and making lasting memories!
