Hello, this is Vickie Downs, your Collier County Property Appraiser.

Our office wants to ensure Collier County property owners have access to information about proposed changes.

We have prepared the attached informational graphic explaining the proposed changes to homestead exemptions and property assessments, along with estimated impacts on Collier County's taxing authorities for 2027 and 2028. Our role is to provide factual, objective information to help residents understand how proposed changes may affect property assessments and the local tax base.

Collier County Property Appraiser Vickie Downs was honored to deliver the invocation at tonight’s meeting featuring special guest speaker Erika Donalds.

Vickie enjoyed the opportunity to join so many familiar faces, elected officials, and community leaders for an evening of meaningful conversation.

The Collier County Property Appraiser’s Office is closed today, Monday, October 12, 2026, in observance of Columbus Day.

Our office will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13, during regular business hours.

While our office is closed, property owners can still access information and online services at www.CollierAppraiser.com.

As Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah begin, Property Appraiser Vickie Downs and the Collier County Property Appraiser’s Office wish our Jewish community a meaningful and joyous holiday.

Today, October 3, also marks the Hebrew-calendar anniversary of the horrific October 7 attacks. We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and all those who continue to carry the weight of that day.

Property Appraiser Vickie A. Downs enjoyed attending the East Naples Civic & Commerce luncheon and catching up with so many wonderful members of our community!

Appraiser Downs is pictured with Faith, founder of Beverly’s Angels, an incredible local nonprofit helping children and families in Naples by providing brand-new essentials, comfort, and support during difficult times. Their programs also partner with law enforcement and other community organizations to help those in need throughout Collier County.

We’re grateful for organizations like Beverly’s Angels that make such a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. 💙

Today, we remember September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders who courageously ran toward danger when others were running to safety.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to all of our first responders who continue to serve and protect our communities every day. Your courage, sacrifice, and commitment to others never go unnoticed.

May we always remember the unity and strength our nation showed in the days that followed.

We will never forget. God Bless America 🇺🇸
