Today, Assumption Parish Library is proud to spotlight Mrs. Linda Cooke, longtime President of the Friends of the Library Board!

Mrs. Cooke has dedicated many years to education, literacy, community service, and preserving the history of Assumption Parish. From her years as an educator and Project Read consultant to her work as a local journalist, she has continually shared her talents and passion with the community.

Her love for the library grew through her friendship with Olivia Chenevert, which led her to become involved with the Friends of the Library. Since stepping into the role of president following Nancy Duco's leadership, Mrs. Cooke has continued to serve with dedication, helping support the library and its mission.

Her commitment to preserving local stories, promoting literacy, and serving our community reflects the true spirit of the Friends of the Library.

💚 Thank you, Mrs. Linda Cooke, for your many years of leadership, dedication, and service to the Assumption Parish Library and our community! We are grateful to have you as part of the APL family.

Join us in celebrating Mrs. Cooke during National Friends of the Library Week!
