⚡ FCDC Power Outage Update

Due to a power outage, Family Christian Development Center (FCDC) is currently closed.

The food pantry and clothing closet will NOT be open today unless power is restored before 1:00 PM.

What can your $20 a month provide?

Due to our incredible partners, many through our affiliation with Hunger Ends Here, FCDC can purchase food at deeply discounted prices.

Your $20 can purchase 400 pounds of food for our Food Pantry. Yes, 400 pounds! 🥫

Here’s what that can look like:
- 75 pounds of chicken
- 25 pounds of cheese
- 30 boxes of spaghetti
- 30 jars of spaghetti sauce
- 90 pounds of olive oil
- 20 pounds of spices
- 60 pounds of deli meat
- 54 cups of Cup Noodles
- 40 pounds of soup
- 20 pounds of frozen meals

Since August 1, 45 new families from our community have visited our food pantry and clothing closet. As more neighbors turn to us, your support helps us welcome them with care.

That’s why we need YOU! Help us reach our goal of 100 new monthly donors giving $20 a month.

🍝 FCDC is turning 30, and you’re invited! 🍝

For 30 years, the Family Christian Development Center has been serving families right here in Nappanee. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than sharing a meal with the community that has helped make it all possible!

🏓 Grab a partner and spend your a morning on the court!

The FCDC Pickleball Tournament is Saturday, October 31 at Family Christian Development Center in Nappanee. Doors open at 9 AM, games start at 10, and it’s a double-elimination bracket, so every team gets at least two games.

💵 $15 per person ($30 per team)
🏆 Gift card prizes for the top 3 teams
🍔 Concessions all day

Every dollar from registration and concessions goes straight back into FCDC’s work in our community. 💛

💙 This Thankful Thursday, we’re grateful for Lake City Bank and their support of FCDC and our mission!

Their team stopped by this week with a check to support our food pantry and the timing couldn’t have been better. In September, we served 23 new families and the need continues to grow.

Thank you, Lake City Bank, for helping us keep our shelves stocked and care for our neighbors. Your generosity helps us put “Compassion in Action” every day! 💙

Because of YOU, our food pantry and clothing closet are making a real difference! 💛

So far in September, we have welcomed 23 new families and served a total of 939 people through our food pantry and clothing closet.

As the need continues to grow, our shelves need some restocking. Here's what we're low on right now:

Baking items (flour, sugar, etc.)

Ketchup, mustard & mayonnaise

Every item helps a family in our community. 💕
