In three short weeks, the Music Library will host the annual Blair Academy Halloween Open House! Dress in your best costume, enjoy food and treats, and talk with library staff!

📍Tuesday, October 27, 4:00-6:00 PM in the Music Library
👻Activities include: haunted stacks, a flashlight scavenger hunt, mini golf, crafts, storytime, temporary tattoos, mummy bowling, and more!

🛠 Next Tuesday from 1:00pm-3:30pm and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30pm, the LiBlairy will have an interactive exhibit tour of the Mike Longo & A Legacy in Jazz exhibition in preparation for the Blair Big Band Concert "Archives Grooves: the Music of Mike Longo" on September 28 in Ingram Hall. 📚🎶

ℹ no prep needed. Drop-in any time and come as you are to learn more about Mike Longo, his legacy, music, and professional and personal relationships with greats like Dizzy Gillespie, James Moody, Oscar Peterson, and Beegie Adair.

Applications for fall 2026 fellowships are due September 2nd! 📚🎶 Apply now to work with the archives held here at Vanderbilt including the Rissi Palmer Collection, Allison Russell Papers, Miko Marks Collection, and Valerie June Papers. Library mentors Jason Schultz, Julia Khait, and Kate Linton will help fellows create a digital mixtape. Fellows will also have the opportunity to visit NMAAM and speak with artists and faculty members while earning a stipend.
