The 2026 qualifying income limits have increased for Davidson County’s Tax Relief and Tax Freeze programs, allowing more homeowners to qualify. The new limits are $38,470 for Tax Relief and $63,470 for Tax Freeze.

First-time applicants will be able to apply this fall at the Office of the Metropolitan Trustee, located at 700 President Ronald Reagan Way, Suite 220, Nashville, TN 37210. I will also host sign-up events across Davidson County throughout the program season to make enrollment more accessible.

Qualifying income will be based on 2025 income for residents listed on the deed and their spouses. Applicants will need to provide 2025 income documentation at that time.

When property tax statements are mailed this October, enrolled program members will receive their annual colored recertification paper to complete and return by the April 5, 2027 deadline.

Join me in uplifting our city’s diverse faith communities next week at my 4th Annual Faith Leaders Walk. 🙏🏽🚶‍♀️🌎

Every year, when we’re out enjoying the beautiful weather and sharing about our different beliefs, it’s always such a fun time. This walk always opens the door to the best conversations, and it would be a pleasure to have you and your faith family there with us next Tuesday.

I want to give a shout-out to our friends who joined us in previous years, including Rashed Fakhruddin and the Islamic Center of Nashville, Catholic Charities, The Temple, Walk Bike Nashville, and WSMV 4. We’d love to see you again this year!

We'll get started at 11:00 a.m. for our 30-minute walk. Meet outside the Hillsboro Village Kroger. 📍

The National Museum of African American Music was a 20-year labor of love - a project I fought to see through with excellence during my time as a council member.

Project Manager and I led a Spring Conference panel at the museum, where we discussed the infrastructure and capital challenges behind bringing NMAAM to completion in a way that reflected our voices, and rich history as a cultural asset to Black Nashville.

It was a wonderful day and a great chance to share Nashville’s Black music history, including the talent that came out of Jefferson Street and the Jubilee Singers’ role in putting “Music City” on the map.
