Good afternoon! I am the current Chair of the Metro Council’s Budget and Finance Committee. I have served on the committee my entire time on Council, 6 and a half years. This is my 2nd time serving as Chair. I have served as Vice-Chair three times. I hold a JD with a Law and Business Certificate, an MBA in Finance and Strategy, and a Master’s Degree in Tax Law. I know finance, and I am well versed in the city’s budget. I want you to be well versed as well. The first of a 4-part education series takes place on Saturday, March 28th, at 1:30pm at the Bordeaux Library. Lunch will be provided (first come, first served), and there will be door prizes. I’ll see you there!

Due to lack of power, some residents lost needed medication that needed to remain refrigerated, such as insulin. Nashville General Hospital has set up a clinic today from 10am to 2pm to assist residents in obtaining their medications. I’m always thankful for NGH and its long standing relationship with the Minority Caucus and its commitment to the community. Thank you to Interim CEO Dr. Veronica Elders and her staff.

If you have any questions about logistics for the clinic, please reach out to me at 615-669-4390.

Here are the details:

When patients arrive at Nashville General Hospital, please enter through the main entrance and follow the signs for the Internal Medicine Clinic. Continue straight down the main hallway. Near the pharmacy, you’ll see an opening—turn left, and you’ll find the clinic’s front desk, where our staff will assist you with check-in.

Please let the front desk know that you are here to see Lisa Bolton.

Parking is available in the garage across the street from the hospital. Please be sure to bring your parking ticket with you to the clinic so our front desk staff can validate your parking.

To help your check-in go smoothly, please bring your photo ID, insurance card, and a current list of medications you are taking.

The Minority Caucus sends prayers to the families of Antioch High School. We stand ready to assist in any way that we can. Thank you Councilmember Deonté Harrell, District 8 and Councilwoman Delishia Porterfield for arranging a safe space for the community to begin to process such a horrible tragedy.
