Community safety is everyone’s responsibility!
Nashville Musicians for Change and Resistance Revival Chorus is partnering with Drkmttr Social Club to provide a community de-escalation and safety training for musicians and community members who want to learn how to respond to tense situations with care, clarity, and collective responsibility.
This training will cover:
* recognizing early signs of escalation in crowds
* verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques
* situational awareness in public action
* grounding ourselves and others during moments of conflict
* using music as a disruptor
The training is FREE and open to musicians and community members! Space is limited, so use the link the bio to sign up and secure your spot. Location information will be emailed after sign up.
This training centers the safety of marginalized communities including undocumented people, trans people, and protestors. Participation from law enforcement is not permitted.

Early voting starts today!
We endorse because she has proven to be a leader putting people first.
Every step of the way, she’s fought to keep our families safe, standing up to those who siphon wealth from our neighborhoods while stripping away our freedoms. And throughout her career as a social worker, community organizer and House Representative, she’s fought to shift power away from corporate special interests and corrupt politicians — and put it back where it belongs: in the hands of the communities that make Tennessee and this country strong.
Do your research and make your plan!

The legislature is in session, which means our legislators are trying to pass bills to turn into laws for Tennesseans. Now is the season for sowing seeds to be healthy and free by joining the Healthy and Free Tennessee Day on the Hill!
We’re excited to collaborate with again to join a network of advocates and organizations united to advance reproductive equity and freedom across the state.
This is a two-day event dedicated to rooting ourselves in our mission to grow our families and plant the seeds of change for a better future.
We’ll engage with reproductive justice warriors, interact with legislators about proposed legislation, and ground ourselves in working to make sure all Tennesseans have access to the support systems needed to determine their reproductive futures, while also fighting against laws that criminalize pregnancy, parenting, and poverty.

✨Exciting News! ✨
We are excited to announce our collaboration with Healthy and Free Tennessee this Legislative Session to support their efforts advocating around bills on their 2024 Watchlist!
Now, let’s talk about ! Their mission is to grow a movement for reproductive justice across race, class, and gender. They’re not just pushing back against existing systems of oppression; they’re actively working to dismantle them while building new, innovative systems that meet the needs of Tennessee communities. Their vision is a joy-filled, abundant world where everyone has the autonomy to make decisions for themselves and their families within their communities. 😍
To engage with this agenda, we are thrilled to join at the Capitol for their annual Day on the Hill! We’ll have the opportunity to take direct action in this movement and meet face to face with state legislators to advocate for legislation aligning with this vision. We’ll be provided training and support to get the empowerment we need to engage in this movement confidently! Together, we’ll raise our voices to advocate for a healthy and free Tennessee.

As the special session ends, join community groups, activists, organizers, pastors and healthcare providers as we reflect on the week and the Tennessee legislature’s inaction on gun safety. Our communities demanded more from those in power, and instead they refused to listen. As we look to the future, how do we move forward as a community and continue to push forward for gun control.
