Our Property Alert Protection Program just got even better!

For most people, their home or business is their largest investment—and we’re committed to helping you protect it. You can already receive alerts through our app and email, and now we’ve added text message alerts for instant notifications.

“Mortgage and property fraud is one of the fastest growing crimes against hardworking citizens, and we want to help everyone stay one step ahead,” said Register of Deeds Karen Johnson. “Text alerts provide immediate information so you can act quickly—because too often, fraud is discovered after significant damage is already done.”

Tami Frazer, our friend, our colleague, and our mentor - a quiet leader in our midst, has passed away. Our sadness is beyond measure.

Please pray for the entire Nashville Davidson County Register of Deeds staff and our many customers over the last 30 years who still come by the office and depended on Tami for guidance and support. Losing Tami and learning of this news is a huge loss to the entire Register of Deeds office family and our entire city. So many loved ♥️ Tami and will miss her greatly. 🕊️🙏🏽For more than 30 years, Tami served the Register of Deeds Office with extraordinary dedication. As the leader of our front office operations, she was the steady hand who helped ensure our office ran smoothly each day while providing exceptional service to the public. Her deep knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to service truly represented government at its finest.

But Tami was so much more than her role. Her gentle spirit and kind heart brought a warmth to the workplace that is rare and special. She was the steadiest of friends, a trusted colleague, and a quiet leader whose impact will be felt for years to come.

We pray for comfort and strength for her family during this difficult time. Our special thoughts are with her loving partner, Boyd Garrett, himself a veteran leader and a rock in our office.

📚 Celebrating ReadMe Day with Book'em!
Reading at Jones Paideia Elementary!
Most recently, I had a wonderful morning spending time with the students at Jones Paideia Elementary for Read Me Day with Book'em. I was honored to serve by reading a story with such bright and enthusiastic young learners.

Programs like Read Me Day remind us how important literacy is in shaping the future of our children and our communities. Seeing the excitement on students’ faces as they listened to stories and knowing that each child received a book to take home was truly inspiring.

Thank you to the teachers, staff, and the entire Book’em team for creating opportunities that help foster a love of reading for the next generation.
