Y.E.S. Vanderbilt (Youth Encouragement Services)

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving this past week with pie and crafts at Y.E.S! We've had an amazing semester volunteering, and look forward to having more fun next semester!

Hi friends! Just a reminder that we are having a General Interest Meeting tomorrow (September 2) @ 6 pm in Stevenson 4327.

Come hear about Y.E.S. from our officers and the director of the St. Luke's center, meet other volunteers, and enjoy some free Krispy Kreme!! The meeting will take about 30-45 minutes.

What a great trip to Sky High with the kids of St. Luke's!

Hope everyone's been having a great semester so far! Just a reminder that tomorrow (January 20th) we will be having a General Body meeting at 7pm! We will meet in Furman 217. This meeting is mandatory for those who are planning on volunteering this semester. If you have any conflicts please let us know. If you haven't volunteered before but would like to start, you are welcome to come to this meeting as well! It should only last about 30 minutes, and to top it all off there will be free donuts and hot chocolate! So excited to see you all tomorrow!

The annual Christmas party co-hosted by YES and VAP is TODAY! Swing by the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center today at 5-7 pm and join about 60 of our students for a time of fun activities, good food and company, and holiday cheer! The kids will also be unwrapping toys collected during the toy drive. Thanks and hope to see you all there!

Starting today, donation boxes for our holiday toy drive will be in most residential houses! Make sure to look out for these wonderfully decorated boxes and donate some toys!

So thankful for the opportunity to be a part of Vanderbilt's Weekend of Service by preparing dinner for Monday Night R.A.W. at St. Luke's and sharing about the importance of service!

Hey y'all we have some exciting news!! Y.E.S. will be hosting a Fall Weekend of Service opportunity Monday September 22nd (yes it's a Monday, but we'll still count it as the weekend :) ) at the St. Luke's center. We will be helping out with their Monday Night R.A.W. (Relationships at Work) which is from 5:30-7:30pm (5-8pm including transportation). We would LOVE for you all to come out and help, and we know the kids would love if you came as well! Be on the lookout for an email with more details soon!
