Metro Nashville Park Police

Officer Howse is one of two officers now assigned to specifically patrol Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation over 100 miles of greenways. This type patrol offers the opportunity to make a lot of contact with greenway users.

Lex began his career as a Police Horse in 2018 with the Metro Nashville Park Police, today he is retiring. Lex was partnered with Sergeant Hooper from the time he began until the decision was made he would retire. Lex will be joining Sergeant Hooper’s family for his retirement and also enjoying time away from the city life. Thanks for your service to Metro Nashville Parks and the city of Nashville, Lex.

Topper began his career as a Police Horse with the Metro Nashville Park Police in 2011, today he is retiring. His first partner in 2011 was Officer Sullivan (right) until he retired in 2020. Topper then became partner of Officer Shelton (left) and remained with her until the decision was made to retire him. Topper will be joining Officer Sullivan in his retirement to enjoy time away from the city life. Thanks for your service to Metro Nashville Parks and the city of Nashville, Topper!

The final count is in and we are over the moon grateful. We estimate 150-200 vehicles delivered baskets of food and bags of toys to 𝟰𝟮𝟮 homes on Christmas Eve morning. 50+ locations were Official Toy Drop Off locations spread all over Davidson county and even a few in Wilson & Williamson counties. We are so grateful for every person who supports us; we couldn’t do this without each of you. 𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 𝔂𝓸𝓾!
