A great evening with US Senator Marsha Blackburn as an intimate gathering of her closest supporters in the Chattanooga area gathered to cheer her on.
Early voting is under way and Beverlee and & I have already cast our vote for Marsha. We urge our friends to do the same. I believe she has the vision, the experience, with an unmatched grasp of the issues, to lead Tennessee forward.

Beverlee and I enjoyed a great evening at the annual Polk County Farm Bureau dinner hosted by the Joe & Diane Fetzer Farm (the maze) on Hwy 64. Dinner under the pavilion was delicious and I was surprised and honored with a plaque in recognition of my support of Tennessee’s largest industry… Agriculture.
Polk County has more than 2,000 Farm Bureau members. I’m honored to be one of them.

A good turnout for the annual Legislative breakfast, sponsored by the Polk County Chamber of Commerce. Senator Tom Hatcher and I shared information about Legislative initiatives in Nashville… with real examples of how those policies have had a positive financial impact on Polk County. For example, tourism spending has grown from $24-million in 2018 to $34-million in 2025… resulting in $1.2 million in sales tax to Polk County.
The 2 hour meeting with Q & A is ways enjoyable and informative. Thanks to Lynne McClary & the Chamber for hosting… and Food City and VEC for the breakfast👍😊

Congratulations to TDOT Region Two (Chattanooga, 24 counties) on their THIRD straight championship win at the Southeastern Regional Equipment Operator Safety Training Conference and Roadeo event in Virginia! the event includes 12 states competing in 7 events (single axle dump truck, tandem axle dump truck, lowboy, tractor/mower, skid steer, motor grader, and backhoe). Throughout the year, each state uses these events to train heavy equipment operators to be safe and efficient in the daily duties. This is TDOT’s third consecutive win and 12th out of the 23 events that have occurred.

Meigs County, in House District 22, is the latest recipient of a large grant for its Volunteer Fire Department!
Sen Lowe and I presented the $64,500.00 check to Meigs Co Emergency Services Director Tony Finnell. The money will be used to upgrade the department’s life saving safety equipment for the Volunteers. The Arctic Compressor will fill their breathing apparatus with 45 minutes of compressed air and give firefighters greater access in rescue efforts.

I was honored to pass HB 2506 in the Tn House. Tennessee Democrats had chance after chance to make our communities safer. Instead, they sided with criminals.

A great Sunday celebration at Friendship Baptist Church in Delano, Polk County as Beverlee and I, along with Polk County Executive Stan Howard and his wife Rovanda joined with the members in marking the church’s 200th anniversary. John Quincy Adams was President when the church was founded in a log cabin in 1826!
I presented Pastor Robert Johnson with a legislative proclamation to honor the occasion and the pastor then opened two time capsules which brought back memories for the members.
Also, Sunday dinner in the fellowship hall was awesome.
