Great partnerships start with listening.

Recently, our team toured facilities across Tennessee to learn firsthand how our customers use and depend on their spaces every day. Visits included Clover Bottom Mansion, the Tennessee Highway Patrol Training Facility, TLETA, the Tennessee School for the Blind, and the current and future homes of the Department of Health's facility.

These visits help us better understand the unique needs of each facility, improve the customer experience, and support the important work being done for Tennesseans across the state. Thank you to our agency partners for welcoming us and sharing their insights as we work together to serve Tennesseans.

Congratulations to STREAM team member Chuck Sutherland, whose photo was selected as one of seven finalists in the 2026 State of Tennessee Employee Photo Contest!

Hosted by Document Solutions in partnership with the Tennessee State Museum, the Tennessee Historical Commission, the Department of Agriculture, and Tennessee America 250, the contest invited State employees to capture the places, landmarks, architecture, and moments that reflect Tennessee's rich heritage and identity.

The award-winning and finalist photographs will be on display at the Tennessee State Museum through June 11 and will also be featured at the Tennessee State Fair, August 13-26. We invite visitors to experience the exhibit and see Tennessee through the eyes of State employees.

Tennessee turns 230 on June 1, and we're celebrating the people and stories that make our State special.

One of those stories belongs to Tiffany Mason of our Vehicle and Asset Management team and her daughter, Brianna Mason Broady. In 2019, Brianna became the first African American woman to be crowned Miss Tennessee. Today, her Miss America gown and official portrait are featured in the Tennessee State Museum's Tennessee Voices, American Stories exhibit as part of Tennessee's rich history.

As Tennessee celebrates Statehood Day this weekend and on Monday, we invite you to visit the Tennessee State Museum and experience the exhibit for yourself. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore the stories that have helped shape our State and to celebrate the people who continue to make history.

We hope you'll join the celebration and discover the stories that make Tennessee unique.

As motorcycles become more common on Tennessee roads this time of year, our Vehicle and Asset Management team reminds everyone that safety is a shared responsibility.

Motorcycles may be smaller and harder to see, but they account for a significant number of traffic fatalities each year. Drivers are encouraged to stay alert, check blind spots, and be especially cautious at intersections. Riders can help protect themselves by wearing proper safety gear, using a DOT-approved helmet, and continuing to build their skills through training and defensive riding.

By staying aware, patient, and focused, we can all help keep Tennessee roads safe.
