Another successful Nature Daze is in the books!

Thank you to all who came today! We had lots of first timers and many returners. It's always so fun to make new friends and to catch up with old ones each year.

Thank you to Kevin and his team at Camp Rancho Framasa. You all are fantastic at hosting and we are so thankful to work alongside you in stewarding a great community of conservation minded friends in BC and beyond.

Thank you to our speakers: Eli Major with Brown County State Park; Jesse Moore at The Nature Conservancy in Indiana and Michael Spalding with Conservation Law Center; Mary Callaghan with Purdue Extension- Brown County; Luke Jacobus at IU Columbus; David Mow at Morgan County Soil & Water Conservation District; and Dawn and Ryan Slack our very own BCNWP friends. You all are experts in your fields and we are so thankful to have you here in Brown County working day in and day out to bring best conservation practices to our community.

Thank you to our partners who came and tabled with us - Lake Monroe Water Fund, Let the Sun Shine In - Indiana, Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District, and State of Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management.

Last but not least, thank you to all the BCNWP volunteers who started planning this event in the spring! We would not have been able to pull together such a great event without the hours of planning and setup an event like this takes. Thank you for all you do for BCNWP!

If anyone has any pictures from Nature Daze 2025, please tag us! We would love to see all you got up to today!

If you are interested in joining BCNWP for call out meetings, board meetings, or planning our next Nature Daze, please send us a message at [email protected]

Thanks for such a great day, friends!

Whether you're in the city or deep in the woods — your yard is home 🌿

🦋 Monarchs, bees, and butterflies need blooms and wild corners
🦉 Owls, woodpeckers, and squirrels depend on trees and mulch layers
🐸 Salamanders, turtles, and frogs thrive near water and shady spots
🐝 Even in urban spaces, ants, sparrows, and chickadees call your garden home

No space is too small. Just keep it a little wild 🌼🍃

We're a little late in sharing this important PSA this year, but the honeysuckle don't care as they are still out haunting our native woodlands!!
