This week, the young ladies of MDHA's LYDIA Society took a fall break field trip to the Howard Office Building to learn about the Office of the Nashville Metropolitan Trustee. Trustee Erica S. Gilmore gave the girls a tour and explained how her office serves Nashvillians. We are grateful that Trustee Gilmore dedicated time in her day to spend with the LYDIA girls.

Early voting locations for this year's State and Federal General Election open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14! You can vote early at ANY location in Davidson County through Thursday, Oct. 29.

Today our team of Poll Officials will complete their 5th & final day visiting 45 nursing homes, assisted living, & independent living facilities so residents can vote. Tomorrow, 15 Early Voting locations will open at 8am. Have you made a plan to ?

The sun was shining on Napier Place as the Metro Nashville Police - South Precinct hosted its first National Night Out event in the neighborhood last week! The event also featured goodies from the Nashville Fire Department and bucket truck "rides" from the Nashville Electric Service. Thank you to everyone who came together for this exciting evening of community and family fun!

MDHA's offices will be closed Friday, Oct. 9, for our annual Day of Service. Residents can still submit emergency work order requests by calling the leasing office and listening for the prompt. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

The annual Unity Day youth conference hosted by MDHA's Resident Services Department is next week! Children and teens of all ages are welcome to join us for a day full of activities, connection, creativity and opportunities designed to inspire and empower youth. Registration is not required.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Nashville artist and former Metro Council Member Phil Ponder. His beloved artwork captured the beauty and soul of Music City.

Ponder's largest art piece in the world is right downtown on Second Avenue, at the spot where a bomb was detonated on Christmas Day 2020. As part of the Second Avenue Rebuild, Ponder painted a historic view of the street, which was then turned into a mural on the wall of the AT&T building.

Back in 2023, MDHA joined the Civic Design Center, then-Mayor John Cooper, AT&T and others to organize a Second Avenue Gallery honoring Ponder and the evolution of Second Avenue. You can read more at the link below.

The residents of Edgefield Manor are fighting back against flu season with the help of our friends at Vanderbilt School of Nursing and Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy! 💪

University students and staff hosted this free flu vaccine clinic for residents in partnership with MDHA's Resident Services Department.
