Lots of work and pride went into this year’s entry. So many contributions (Fire and EMS members, on and off duty, take a project home, etc) with FF Ruth Perez (E6B) leading the way, made our minion theme something special. Hand drawn and painted characters with minions from Station 6 and some of our surrounding companies.
We need your vote to win! Support NFD Station 6 by liking Station 6’s entry on the NFD’s page. Merry Christmas from the firehouse on the hill!

NFD station 6 “The Firehouse on the Hill” needs your votes. We went old school and nostalgic with “A Christmas Story” theme. The leg lamp, Ralphie in the bunny suit, Flick stuck to the flag pole, and the FRAGILE box are all handmade and painted by our members. Lots of hours in hopes of stoking your holiday spirts while remembering some Christmas pasts.
First listed on the ballot, first in you heart. Support one of the busiest in the city with your vote. Merry Christmas from the 6ers (La Colina).

2-21-17 Engine Co. 6 was first arriving to this working fire this morning. A detached garage with a vehicle inside was fully involved, with ignition to the main residence and a neighbors garage. Engine Co. 6 pulled the initial attack line and began suppression while secured their own water supply. Additional units arrived to pull a second line off the 6er to assist. The alarm was held to 3 Engine Co.'s, a Truck, Medic 6, and District 6 (Capt. Ward). District 6 was Command.
Quick action suppressed the main residence and neighbor's garage, and held the main damage to the structure of origin, which was a total loss upon arrival.

The second fire was on McCall St., where District 6 was the assigned Chief, and Engine Co. 6 would be the 3rd due Engine. District 6 arrived and assumed Command, while Engine Co. 6 provided manpower.
