When they’re not flying, they’re prepping for the day they can. Regular maintenance on their aircraft is crucial.
“Maintenance for what we do out here is absolutely critical for everything we do. If our maintenance program isn’t where it needs to be, then we can’t fly and we can’t accomplish our mission,” said Chief Warrant Officer 2 David Tyo, a 153D and Line Pilot in Command for Alpha Co., 6th Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade.
Everything aviation does is in support of the ground force commander’s mission, extending reach and lethality.
