CMA Fest Nashville has arrived!
As country music fans make their way downtown, we're excited to welcome visitors from across the country to Music City.
We've uncovered a few "rejected" country song titles that somehow never made it onto the radio. Unfortunately, they never made it to air; but we still think they belong in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Meanwhile, if you find yourself with a "Achy Breaky Cart", or needing any other waste services, you can request them through hubNashville today at: hub.nashville.gov

What’s really in Nashville’s trash?
Over the past year, Nashville Waste Services has been conducting Davidson County’s first waste stream audit since 2017. This helps us better understand what materials are being thrown away and how much of our trash could have been recycled or composted. We use that data to see where we can improve waste reduction efforts across the county.
We’re currently completing the final waste sort and look forward to sharing the results in the future.

Our team was out in District 20 today at Cleeces Ferry supporting a community Bulk Pickup Event with Council Member Rollin Horton, D20 Beautification Commissioner Sara Stewart, and our partners at Nashville Department of Transportation & Multimodal Infrastructure. This event included e‑waste collection, giving residents a safe way to recycle old electronics and reduce landfill waste.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, volunteered, and helped make today’s cleanup effort a success. Together, we’re keeping Nashville clean and beautiful.

These new trucks will help us continue delivering reliable service to residents while supporting safer, more efficient operations for our crews across the city.
A huge thank you to our partners at Autocar Trucks, New Way Trucks and Municipal Equipment Inc. for helping make this possible. We’re excited to put these trucks to work serving Nashville every day.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who served our country.
As a reminder, our four-day collection schedule means trash and recycling service will not be affected by holidays that fall on Mondays. Collection will continue on your normal service day this week.
Follow us for future service updates and holiday schedule changes throughout the year!

Today, our team supported an Antioch Bulk Cleanup Event at multiple locations across the community, including Global Mall, Hamilton Methodist Church, and Compton’s Foodland - as well as the Open Streets Event at Riverfront Park.
Residents were able to recycle mattresses, scrap metal, electronics, glass, and other recyclable materials for free throughout the morning. Our crews were proud to help provide more recycling opportunities and assist residents with proper disposal of bulky items.
Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, and helped make today’s cleanup effort a success. Together, we’re helping keep Nashville clean and beautiful.
