Got to spend last evening with Davidson County Young Democrats at one of my favorite places in District 19, Frankie J's!! We got to hear from Representatives Bo Mitchell and Vincent Dixie about this past legislative session, as well as Matea Cannavino who discussed Mayor O’Connell’s plan and an update on November’s transit referendum.
It’s going to be an interesting year, so get involved today!

This morning, after last night's barn burner of a State of the Union speech, President Joe Biden is being compared to Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower and yes, Ronald Reagan. Meanwhile the Republicans enthusiastically embrace the language of 1930s Germany.

Decency vs immorality
Dignity vs hatred
Equality vs revenge
War vs peace
Democracy vs dictatorship
Once again President Joe Biden made a plea for bipartisanship and Americans working together. While the entire GOP froths at the mouth with hatred for everyone who doesn't agree with them.
Congratulations President Biden on an amazing State of the Union speech. The campaign for the future of American democracy starts now.
