Metro Considers Parking Ordinance for Bars, Nightclubs A proposed ordinance currently being considered by the Metro Council could eliminate parking mandates for bars and nightclubs across Nashville.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Riley Strain. While this is not the outcome we all had prayed for, I hope they are able to start the healing process and find closure. My hope is that we will learn from and use this tragedy as a guide in preventing similar outcomes.

On New Year's Eve, many people are looking to get to Broadway or to the big concert at Bicentennial Park in Nashville.

For those looking for free transportation, WeGo is offering free bus rides around the city on New Year's Eve, extending 17 routes to 2:30 a.m. on New Year's Day.
One of the routes will be specifically to take event goers between Broadway and the Music Note Drop at Bicentennial Mall park.
Free rides will start at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

The Metropolitan Beer Permit Board has jurisdiction over licensing, regulating and controlling the transportation, storage, sale, distribution, possession, receipt and/or manufacture of beer of an alcoholic content of not more than eight percent by weight or any other beverage of like alcoholic content, and shall constitute the sole administrative agency in the Metropolitan Government for the administration of all laws and ordinances relating to beer and like alcoholic beverages.
