Scifi Media: 5 Best Scifi Books for People New to Scifi Excellent list. I loved The Martian, ripped right through it. I'd add Peter Hamilton's Judas Unchained and Pandora's Star. A bit wordy but awesome just the same, and Dan Simmons' Hyperion Cantos.
