All of us here at AFSA Chapter 473 in Nashville want to wish everyone a happy and safe Inpendence Day weekend! May everyone take a few moments and think back to July 4th 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress. Remember this day and the men and women who have fought for the initial freedom of our great contry and continue to fight for the freedoms we all have and cherish today. Again, from all of us here, Happy 4th of July everyone!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY ALERT!!!!!! AFSA Chapter 473 here in Nashville will be assisting A Soldiers Child Cherity at their shopping event on Monday 18 April 2015 at 1500 at the Walmart in Murfreesboro. We will be meeting at the garden center to help shop for the childeren of deceased veterans. Come on out!!!!

Great meeting last night. We elected our new Events Coordinator SSgt Jacob Valladares ( far right in photo ) We also had a guest speaker from A Soldiers Child, an organization that devotes their time and efforts to better the lives of the childered of lost military members. Learn more about them at www.asoldierschild.org. Be sure to stop in for our meeting next month!! It will be held on March 10, 2016 at 7:00 PM. See you there!
