There are a lot of excellent leadership programs available today. So why create another one?

Because Commanding the Heights comes at leadership from a different direction.

I didn't begin with a leadership model and then look for stories to illustrate it. I began with more than three decades of real leadership experience—leading soldiers, developing leaders, teaching in military classrooms, working alongside senior leaders, and learning from both successes and failures.

The principles came from the experience, not the other way around.

What began as a simple leadership book born from decades in the Army and years of teaching has slowly grown into something much bigger — lessons on leadership, faith, responsibility, resilience, and influence.

The site now serves as the home for:

• The Commanding the Heights book
• Leadership course material
• Future teaching projects
• Speaking opportunities
• And the growing CTH ecosystem

This isn’t about “self-help.” It’s about leadership that actually holds under pressure.
