**NOW HIRING**
The Dysartsville Fire Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time Engineer/Firefighter. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. High school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Applicants must be able to pass a skills assessment including, but not limited to, Driver Operator, Pumps, and General Firefighting.
Work Schedule is based off of a Modified Kelly Schedule, 24-hour shift.
Starting salary ranging from $41,000 to $45,000 and will be based on certifications and experience.
Emergency Vehicle Driver, Firefighter 1 & 2 Certifications and EMT-B are preferred, but not required to apply.
If hired, the Engineer/Firefighter will be expected to show progress in obtaining Firefighter 1 & 2, Driver Operator, Pumps, etc.
Paid Leave allocation will be discussed during applicant interviews.
Applicants must submit a copy of their high school diploma or GED and complete OSFM 24 transcripts, along with any other certification documentation, for their application to be considered complete.
