On behalf of everyone at the Neillsville Police Department, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Police Officer Kate Fleischauer, her law enforcement family, and the entire Muscoda community.

This loss is especially personal to Chief Jim Mankowski, who had the privilege of working alongside Kate at the Belleville Police Department. Chief Mankowski and Muscoda Police Chief Bill Schramm also attended and graduated from the police academy together at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. These connections make the loss of a fellow officer and friend deeply felt.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kate’s family, her fellow officers, and everyone who knew and loved her. In a profession where the bonds between officers run deep, the loss of one of our own is felt far beyond the community she served.

Please keep Kate’s loved ones, her law enforcement family, and the Muscoda community in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Police Officer Fleischauer. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. You will not be forgotten.
