Directions Website

The Neillsville Fire Department provides fire protection and rescue services to the Neillsville Area.

The Neillsville Fire Department provides fire protection and rescue services to the City of Neillsville, as well as the townships of Pine Valley, Weston, Grant, Levis, Seif and Hewett. Along with providing fire and rescue protection, we have different training opportunities to keep the residents of our fire protection district informed on the importance of fire safety. Our main training opportunity is the fire extinguisher demonstrations that we provide to train on the proper use of fire extinguishers and when they are appropriate to use.

❤️ THANK YOU!❤️

We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support we receive from this community for our Steak Feed fundraiser!

We had another record year serving 1,212 meals! 🥩🔥

That number represents so much more than meals—it represents a community that continues to stand beside us, support us, and believe in what we do.

We cannot adequately express how thankful we are to everyone who purchased a meal, bought raffle tickets, donated, volunteered, helped prepare and serve the food, or simply stopped by to show your support. Your generosity and encouragement means more to our department than you know.

Every time the tones drop, we know our community is counting on us. Events like this remind us that we can count on you, too.

From every member of the Neillsville Fire Department, THANK YOU for always standing beside us and behind us. We are incredibly proud to serve such an amazing community. ❤️🚒

🚒🦌 Joint Hunter Rescue Training

We recently conducted a joint training with the Neillsville Ambulance Service focused on responding to and rescuing an injured hunter.

During the training, crews practiced conducting a grid search to locate a missing/injured hunter, followed by a technical rescue from a tree stand. Once the patient was safely brought to the ground, firefighters and EMS personnel worked together to assess the patient, provide care, and transport the patient to the ambulance.

Training together allows our departments to practice communication, coordination, and patient care in challenging situations before an actual emergency occurs. Hunter rescues can involve difficult terrain, limited access, darkness, and significant distances from an ambulance or roadway, making preparation and teamwork especially important.

A big thank you to the Neillsville Ambulance Service for working alongside us during this training. We appreciate the continued partnership and commitment to keeping our community safe.

Train together. Respond together. Serve together. 🚒🚑

25 YEARS. NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a day that changed us forever.

On September 11, 2001, 343 firefighters and 60 police officers made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to save others. Thousands of innocent lives were lost, and countless families were forever changed.

For those of us who wear the badge, carry the pager, and answer the call, their courage remains a powerful reminder of what it means to serve.

Today, we remember the lives lost.
We honor the heroes who answered the call.
We stand with the families who continue to carry their loss.
And we remember the strength, compassion, and unity that brought our nation together.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.
We still honor.
We still serve.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — September 11, 2026
Never Forget. Always Remember. United We Stand.

Have a Happy and Safe 4th of July!

05/12/2026

Last night we had the opportunity to participate in a school bus extrication training focused on patient access, stabilization, and safe removal techniques during emergency situations. Trainings like this help ensure we are prepared to respond quickly and effectively when every second counts. Members of the Neillsville Ambulance Service also joined last night to observe the extrication techniques.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this valuable hands-on training possible.

ROADS CLOSED! At this point in time everyone should consider ALL roads closed. Please allow our friends at the Highway Department and Streets Department to continue their job of clearing off the roads, which is almost impossible to keep up with. There is also a “No Tow” in effect meaning if you were to go in the ditch you would not be towed out until conditions improve. Do your part, STAY HOME.
