Cover up those plants Friday night as we could see our first frost of the season. Also going to see some significant winds as the temps start to drop.

Tonight into tomorrow brings a true taste of fall with morning wind chills in the low to mid 30s and afternoon highs topping out in the low 50s. Winds will ramp up this evening and remain windy through tomorrow afternoon with gusts to 35-45 mph. Northern and eastern Iowa may see a few scattered showers in the morning before drying out later in the day.
