NAFD has a long and proud history.
On August 2, 2026 New Albany Fire Department celebrated its 120 year anniversary. NAFD had two Fire Companies approved by the board of Aldermen on August 2, 1906. Company 1 and Company 2. Those 2 companies were carried into the 2000's. In 1927, the department went through a reorganization and changed the way it operated. Portions of that operating structure, along with the 1906 structure, is still in our guidelines and processes today.

🎙️⚾ THE VOICE OF THE GAME — TREY SLATON! ⚾🎙️

Some people serve their community from behind a badge. Others serve from behind the scenes, making sure the right people get where they’re needed when every second matters. And on October 10th, one of those dedicated voices will step behind the microphone and become the voice of the Chief Anthony Anderson Memorial Softball Game.

Project Domino Effect is incredibly proud to welcome Trey Slaton as our 2026 Game Announcer! 💙

For more than 12 years, Trey has served with the Booneville Police Department, where he currently serves as the Dispatch TAC Officer. His work may often happen away from the spotlight, but his dedication, dependability, and service play an important role in supporting those who protect our communities every day.
And we couldn't have picked a better person to call a ballgame!

⚾ Trey is a lifelong baseball fan who grew up cheering for the Atlanta Braves, with the legendary Ken Griffey Jr. holding the title of his all-time favorite player.

This year, Trey won't just be watching the game he loves—he'll be helping tell its story.

Trey, thank you for lending your voice to a day that means so much to so many families. Thank you for your years of service, for everything you do behind the scenes, and for helping us honor the heroes whose legacies will forever live on.
The Peace Keepers and Smoke Eaters will take the field… but Trey Slaton will be the voice that brings it all together. 🎙️💙❤️

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Chief Anthony Anderson Memorial Softball Game, Trey. We are honored to have you as part of the Project Domino Effect family.

⚾💙 AN HONOR BEYOND THE FIRST PITCH 💙⚾

Some people support an event with a donation. Others support a mission, a community, and the people behind it.

Project Domino Effect is incredibly honored to announce that Mike Staten, Chief Executive Officer of BNA Bank, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the 3rd Annual Chief Anthony Anderson Memorial Softball Game.

BNA Bank has shown tremendous support for Project Domino Effect, and having Mr. Staten step onto the field represents far more than the beginning of a softball game. It represents a community leader and a hometown bank standing beside us as we honor the fallen first responders whose courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Mr. Staten has spent years serving and investing in the people of this area, and we are deeply grateful that he and BNA Bank have chosen to believe in what Project Domino Effect is working to accomplish. Their generosity helps us continue turning compassion into action and reminding families throughout our communities that they are never forgotten.

Mr. Staten, when you throw that first pitch, please know that you aren't simply throwing a baseball—you are helping us carry forward a legacy. ❤️

From everyone at Project Domino Effect, thank you, Mike Staten and BNA Bank, for standing with us, supporting our mission, and helping us continue creating a domino effect of kindness throughout our communities.

We cannot think of a more meaningful way to begin this special game. ⚾🙏
