Important information for residents of the City of New Baltimore!

09/10/2026

Update: There is no active threat to anybody or property. Out of an abundance of caution our department notified the Anchor Bay School District of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement Operation taking place within a 1/4 mile of the schools with the potential for subjects wanted for immigration law violations fleeing on foot. We applaud the Anchor Bay School District for taking steps to ensure all students and staff remain safe. The investigation within the city has concluded and any questions regarding this can be directed the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

We are aware of a federal law enforcement operation taking place in the city and the schools have been made aware of this. We are monitoring the situation at this time.
