New Berlin Food Pantry

October is here, and the New Berlin Food Pantry could use a little help keeping its shelves stocked for local families.

This month’s wish list includes everyday pantry staples such as boxed spaghetti noodles, salad dressing, mayonnaise, instant oatmeal, boxed rice, crackers, pasta or rice sides, and individual fruit cups.

Donations can be dropped off directly at the New Berlin Food Pantry, 2600 S. Sunny Slope Rd., or placed in donation barrels at the ARC, City Hall, Hickory Grove Community Center, New Berlin Public Library, and Pick ’n Save.

Every donation, big or small, helps make sure our neighbors have access to the food they need. Thank you for continuing to support the New Berlin Food Pantry and the families it serves.

September Wish List: New Berlin Food Pantry

The New Berlin Food Pantry is looking for a few pantry staples to help keep shelves stocked and support local families throughout September.

Current needs include:

• Hamburger Helper
• Pasta Sides
• Rice-A-Roni
• Canned chicken
• Toilet paper
• Canned fruit
• SpaghettiOs
• Canned ravioli
• Soup

Donations can be dropped off at the New Berlin Food Pantry, 2600 S. Sunny Slope Rd., or placed in donation barrels located at City Hall, the ARC, Hickory Grove Community Center, New Berlin Public Library, and Pick ’n Save.

Every can, box, and roll helps. Those ordinary grocery-store items humans toss into carts without thinking can make a very real difference for a neighbor who needs a little help.

A huge thank you to the New Berlin Fire Department for another incredible annual Peanut Butter Drive benefiting the New Berlin Food Pantry!

Thanks to the generosity and hard work of our firefighters and community supporters, an amazing 720 jars of peanut butter and $850 in cash donations were collected to help stock pantry shelves and support local families.

Peanut butter is one of the most requested pantry staples because it's nutritious, shelf-stable, and kid-friendly, making every single jar a meaningful gift.

We're grateful to our firefighters, not only for the work they do every day to keep our community safe, but also for the countless ways they continue to give back beyond emergency calls. A special thank you as well to the volunteers at the New Berlin Food Pantry for everything they do to serve our neighbors.

Community is built one act of kindness at a time, even if humans insist on making something as simple as feeding each other require organized campaigns. Fortunately, New Berlin keeps showing up.

This July, the New Berlin Food Pantry is collecting school supplies to help ensure local students have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

Our July Wishlist includes:
* Backpacks
* #2 Pencils
* Pencil Boxes
* 1" 3-Ring Binders
* Small Markers
* Highlighters
* Scissors

Donations can be dropped off at collection barrels located at:

Every backpack filled, every box of pencils donated, and every pair of scissors shared is a reminder to a child that their community believes in them before they even walk through the classroom door.

Another successful Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive in New Berlin. We collected 20,000 pounds of food. Thanks to students from New Berlin Eisenhower and West, various staff from Froedtert and lots of individuals who helped unload and sort. Thanks to our postal carriers for the extra work needed to make this day happen.

Today’s the day! 🌅📬 Letter carriers across the country are heading out on their routes with one extra mission: collecting your donations for the Food Drive.

If you haven’t already, there’s still time to help! Just leave a bag of nonperishable food by your mailbox before your carrier arrives. Every can, every box, every bag helps stock local food pantries and put meals on the table for families facing hunger.

For more than 30 years, NALC members have proudly led this effort while continuing to serve their communities on their regular routes. Today, we’re grateful for every carrier stepping up and every neighbor lending a hand. Let’s make a difference together!
